A Historic Monument of Pune City from the Peshwa Era
Shri Omkareshwar Devasthan is the biggest temple of Pune city protected by law as a "HERITAGE GRADE I" monument. It is recognized as a "C" Grade Temple by Government of Maharashtra.
It was constructed during 1736-1738 by Vedmurty Shivrambhat Chitrav, under the patronage of Chimaji Appa Peshwe, this sacred shrine has been a center of spiritual devotion for nearly three centuries.
